Painting is a pleasure since childhood. Wherever you go, you can't escape from drawing or painting. At 10, the first winner in drawing was organized by the Bhayangkari POLRES Association, Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra, Indonesia. Then at the same age, the first runner-up in drawing for the West Sumatra Province level was organized by Bhayangkari POLDA Sumatra Bara Indonesia. He started painting with oil paints at the age of 18 and continues to paint until now.
I've been an entrepreneur for about 17 years. As long as I was an entrepreneur, I kept painting, always taking the time to paint. And during that time, I also took the time to study painting in Bali for about 2 years (1993 – 1995).
I love traveling, and I first learned to travel alone at the age of 15 from Padang, West Sumatra Province to Malang, East Java Province, that there were several cities I've lived in, namely Bogor, West Java Province, Jakarta Indonesia, Bandung, West Java Province, Pekanbaru, Riau Province. , Yogyakarta, Central Java Province, Medan, North Sumatra Province, Lampung, Lampung Province and Bali, Bali Province. All travel in Indonesia and Indonesia is very wide.

Because painting has become a part of my soul and talent, the desire to paint never stops. I finally decided to become a professional painter in 2012. I stopped all other activities and then completely painted. I paint by self-taught, which is the source of my painting inspiration is the life experience that I have lived. The painters I admire are Picasso, Van Gogh, Gustav Klimt, Caravaggio, Rembrant, Salvador Dali, Affandi and Nashar.
On August 23, 2019, I left for Bandung and married in Bandung Ati Suciati, a Sundanese woman from Bandung, West Java. After getting married, I continued my journey of working in Bandung until now.
In carrying out my career as a painter, there are many inner experiences that I feel, and I must respond and respond to them with understanding and wisdom because my painting does not have a place in the hearts of the people I live in; my paintings are considered strange and foreign. Even so, I believe the ideas from every painting that I make are not in vain and impossible. But there is one thing that makes me happy, namely that I have full support, both morally and materially, from Ati Suciati, my wife, in my painting process.

ARTIST STATEMENT
A word from the artist
I believe that I was born to be a painter.
When the desire to paint is like turbulent energy in my mind, I must immediately pour it onto the canvas. If the desire and urge are not immediately rushed onto the canvas, it is like something is burdening my mind, and it is torturing me.
For me, painting does not have to be bound by rigid and standard forms. Painting is a wave of flow that arises in thoughts and feelings and pours it out freely on the canvas without being tied to these standard forms. Painting for me is not just about making shapes and colors. Painting is doing what the heart and soul command honestly and openly without thinking about shapes and colors. This is my thought about freedom in creation. And that's important. In my opinion, the essential thing in a work of art is not in the beautiful and proportional forms nor the composition and perspective, because I think that art is a solution, notes, and documentation of the inner journey that is obtained from the senses in the journey of daily life.
Also, works of art should function as a means of education and provide solutions to the challenges and demands of life that are increasingly difficult.
When I paint, I am not bound by monotonous techniques. There are times when I also use the sfumato technique, and sometimes I also use the impasto technique. But that's not always the case. In each of my paintings, I continue to try and experiment with combining the styles that exist in painting.
Some of my paintings are the result of a combination of cubism and decoration. Also, sometimes in one painting, several styles are combined on one canvas.
