I have been painting for a very long time.
Today, I present you a selection of my paintings. Besides my recent works, i show a few of my older creations.
The sea, landscapes, urban life, nocturnal visions are always present in my work.
I address my favorite themes: the mineral, nature, water and the sky take an important part in my compositions.
My resent search deliberately focuses on the sea, the sky, shores; this part of our environment that is between the real and the dream. Night visions (sunsets, the night, the dawn) are also great moments as they allow to be expressed by a narrower range of colors.
I hope that we will have the pleasure to exchange our impressions in front these works to which I add some older works from my personal collection where boats and people are present."

A WORD FROM THE ARTIST
Thought about painting.
I was born in 1943, March 19 in Malakoff, a Paris suburb.
My urban environment was bound by a large market farm plot, a railway track and in the background the slum belt (the old fortifications.
From childhood, many images remain present in my work.
I paint since I was 15. A child, a teenager, less young, I used to paint industrial landscapes, ports, quays end barges. I was ore interested in humans than landscapes where they lived.
From my portraits, groups, all the people exist. I have met them. But, some time the life of the models is to heavy to carry. Over time, I paint the seam the shores, the sky and I push them into the background of the painting.
These districts, Malakoff, Paris food market (les Halles), the working class areas, Paris by night are still populated with people who live with difficulty, morally and physically.
They are my models . I feel for them and I PAINT them.
45 years later, I find myself in a scenery that is often deserted by humans: the shores,
the quays, boats, the districts are less and less populated.
A painting is meant to be watched. One does talk about it!
However, one must communicate with its author,
Only those who paint what they live can feel inside themselves what they paint.
The sea, a district of Paris, a quay in Rotterdam, Venice !!! many painter's emotions, fragrances, forces, moments of life.
All this is "simple": the recipe consists in adding all these ingredients, and some canvases and a few beautiful colors. All is said...
My Painting is not a transcendental message. It is "a slice of life" that I paint after I have experienced it.
I won't expand on my exhibitions (Art fairs, galleries, etc.) It would be too long and I would need too many lines to relate my success and a few small failures.
Although I received many awards, they are not important to me. Want really counts for me the emotion perceived by the public.
